PALESTINE
All efforts to establish an authoritative.
representative body to speak for the Arabs
of Palestine have failed, it . was admitted by
the Arab newspaper Falastin, published here.
'The Falastin told of frustrated attempts to
revive the Arab Higher Committee which was
dissblved during the height of the Axis-
inspired, Arab disturbances of 1936-9.
Among 500 refugees arriving from Greece,
140 were Greek Jews. All were taken to a
Greek refugee camp "somewhere in Palestine."
Early in the week 80 Greek Jews, recently
arrived from Greece, were released from a
Greek refugee camp after the Jewish Agency
had - allocated them immigration certificates.
Four new-.Jewish settlements will be estab-

cultural co-operative groups will be settled on
the land shortly thereafter.. The four settle-
ments include two for Kurdish Jews and one
for Yemenite Jews, in line with a program

What Can You Say to
a Wounded Soldier?
•
You have a duty, too, in this war. Part of your duty
is to buy War Bonds with every dime and dollar you can.
So simply say "thanks" to a wounded .soldier, by
buying. your full share of War Bonds in the Fifth War
Loan. Don't expect credit----you can't match his sacrifice
by merely lending your money. But don't be ashamed,
either—if : you've done your duty, you've shown your
gratitude—the way he wants you to.
