ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY

Mrs. Joseph L. Levy of Calvert Ave. has returned from 10 days
in Kalamazoo where she was visiting with friends.

Capt. Perry. P. Burnstine has returned to his post at Camp
Fannim, Tex., following a short leave spent with Mrs. Burnstine
and their daughters in their home on LaSalle Blvd.

Mr. and Mrs. Isadore E. Goodman and daughter Marian, of
Sherbourne Rd., are at the Pierre in New York for a 10-day stay.

Honoring Max Stein's recovery from illness, 35 friends met
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stein, 2738 Glendale, Sunday evening ; .
for dinner • and entertainment. The Steins filled seven family
emergency kits for Russian War Relief, to be included in the
good-will carton shipment to Soviet Russia.

Mrs. Albert Meister, teacher of dramatic art, will present'
her pupils in a Dramatic Art Recital on May 18, at 8 p. m., at
the Jewish Center. The following will participate: Sue Winston,
Sandra Sinai, Phillis Pullberg, Arlene Shayne, Barbara Feldman,
Sally Kleiman, Gloria Gittleman, Deena Robbins, Lorraine Syner,
Joan Salley, Joel Reisner, and Jo Ann Meister. Barbara Renton.
and Barbara Sue Knighton, of the Miltimore School of Dance,
will entertain with dancing. Martha Meistpr and Rosalie David-
son will render piano selections.

Mrs. Joseph Rosenberg of the Bekrest Hotel' has returned from

a few weeks visit in New York City.


Miss Bertha Broudy of Tyler Ave. will leave next 'Tuesday for
an extended stay in Los Angeles.
