Miles Lowell has left for Amherst, Mass., where he will resume
his studies at Amherst College. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
George Lowell of Shrewsbury Rd.
Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Freeman of Chicago Blvd. have re-
turned from an extended visit in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Bernard Reibel and her daughter, Marion, have returned
to their home in Chicago after a few days' visit with Mrs. Reibel's
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Reibel of
Huntington Woods.
A/C Leonard W. Alkon, who. has just completed his pre-flight
training at Iowa City, is spending a two weeks' furlough with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Alkon of Webb Ave.
Mr .and Mrs. Max Zivian of Muirland Ave. are spending a few
weeks in Hot Springs, Ark.
- Mrs. Joseph Kozman has returned to her home in Toledo after
a few days' visit with her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Mandeberg of San Juan Dr. left on Sunday
for Melbourne, Fla., where they will visit their son, Ensign Eugene
Mandeberg.
Mrs. Louis Glazer of Kercheval Ave. and Mrs. Joseph Glazer
and her small son, Louis, of Tyler Ave. have returned from a visit
in Miami Beach, Fla.
Capt. Joseph M. Oppenheim is spending a month's leave with
Mrs. Oppenheim in their home on Sturtevant Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. George Loria of Richton Ave. returned on Thurs-
day from Fort Pierce, Fla., where they visited their son, Lt. (j.g.)
George Loria.
Mrs. Max Miller of Huntington Woods has returned from San
Diego, Calif., where she visited her husband, Pvt. Miller.
Pfc. Bernard Krohn and Pfc. Lawrence Krohn, both with ASTP
at University of Michigan, spent the last week-end with their par-
ents, Dr. and Mrs. Albert Krohn of Cambridge Rd. They were
accompanied by their friend, App. Seaman Don Malton of New
York City.

will observe annual Bnai Brith
Day at Webster Hall. On this day
all new members are formally
initiated.
The impressive initiation cere-
mony explaining the meaning
of the seven branched candel-
abra, the symbol of Bnai Brith,
is the highlight of the program.

owners of vacant lots for the
purpose of establishing victory
gardens.
Mr. Youngblood states that
last year 5,000 vacant lot owners
were located and that a similar
service will be rendered this
year as a contribution to the war
effort.
