Women's Health Club
Expanded at Center

Mrs. Benjamin Jaffe, chair-
man of the Women's Health
Club Committee, announces that
the Jewish Community Center
is extending the hours of the
club's service.

Starting Monday members
Will be able to take advantage
of the Center facilities from 9
a. m. to 3:30 p. m.,, Mondays
through Thursdays. There has
been no increase in annual
membership rate of $30 and the
massage treatment of $1.25.

The Health Club offers indi-
vidual exercise instruction, heat
cabinet, infra-red lamps, ultra-
violet lamps, therapeudic show-
er, steam. bath, massage a n d
swimming. Everyone is invited
to avail herself of this excellent
opportunity to receive beneficial
health treatment at such low

Mann's Manuscript
Brings $100,000 In
Sale of War Bonds

The manuscript of Thomas
Mann's famous lecture, "The
Coming Victory of Democracy,"
one of the collection of priceless
manuscripts anC. art works con-
tributed by - world renowned
refugees to help boost the sale
of War Bonds, was donated to
the New York Public Library at
a ceremony in the lobby of the
Library. War Bonds totaling
$100,000, the "price" set for the
manuscript, were purchased • by
an anonymous donor so that the
Library might retain permanent
possession of the document. The
Manri lecture, which deals with
the threat of Nazism to De-
mocracy, has been called "a peer-
less exposition of the principles
for which the United Nations
are fighting."


WZO Executive Offers
Pact to Revisionists

JOHANNESBURG, S. Africa,
(JTA) — Leaders of the world
Zionist Executive are conducting
"earnest negotiations" with. the
Zionist-Revisionists in Palestine
for the purpose of achieving
unity, and are ready to grant the
Revisionists representation in all
bodies of the Zionist Organiza-
tion, it was reported by N. Kirch-
ner, chairman of the executive of
the South African Zionist Fed-
eration, upon his return from
Palestine.

town Detroit USO on their des-
ignated "JWV Day," Feb. 7.

Auxiliary No. 190, Lt. Eli Levin
Ledies' Auxiliary No. 230, De-
troit Ladies' Auxiliary No. 135.

National Council of Jewish
Juniors will have a social pro-
gram at the meeting Sunday at
the Book Cadillac Hotel. There
will be a piano duet by Peggy
Mann and Carl Beurel and read-
ings by Charlotte Brawer. Cards
.and refreshments will follow. All
are welcome.

Hebrew Ladies' Aid Society, at
a meeting of the board on Mon-
day at the home of Mrs. Fanny
Roth, made plans for the dinner
dance to be held March 5 at the
Bnai Moshe. Mrs. Helen Rosen-
thal, chairman, reports that Dave
Diamond's orchestra will provide
the music. A donation of $100
was made to the Jewish National
Fund. Bonds and Stamps are
sold at all Meetings by the chair-
man, Mrs. Helen Rosenthal.

to meetings.

p. m. Monday at the home of

Lawrence. A recording of "The
Battle of the Warsaw Ghetto" by
Raymond Massey will be heard'
