Women's Clubs
Young Women's Study Club,
which meets. every Tuesday af-
ternoon at the Jewish Center,
recently elected new officers.
They are: president, Mrs. Bertha
Wilson; vice-president, Mrs. Tes-

Helen Ritter; treasurer, Mrs.

hold a get-acquainted rally and
dessert luncheon at 1 p. m. Mon-
day at the Shaarey Zedek. New

former Jr. Hadassah president.

Neugarten Sunshine Club's
10th annual donor luncheon, held
Wednesday, was a success. Mrs.
Martin Krauss, president, Was
chairman. An address was deliv-
ered by Mrs. Charles Rothstein,
luncheon chairman. The guest
speaker was Dr. B. Benedict
Glazer. Proceeds will be used to
finance. the club's charity work
and its war efforts.

hold their final pep rally Tues-
day, at 1 p. m., at the Shaarey
Zedek, in preparation for the
donor luncheon scheduled for
Dec. 15 at the Shaarey Zedek. At

An Oneg Shabbat in honor of
Miss Henrietta Szold, founder of
Hadassah, will be sponsored by
the Detroit chapter of the wom-
en's Zionist organization on Dec.
18 at the Shaarey Zedek.
On Tuesday evening, Dec. 14,
Hadassah, jointly with the Zion-
ist Organization, will sponsor the
lecture by Maxa Nordau, daugh-
ter of Dr. Max Nordau, at the
Shaarey Zedek. This meeting will
be open to the public without an
admission charge.

Ensign Ramon I. Gerson, who was recently graduated from
Columbia University, left on Wednesday for his post after a
week's leave spent with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myer Gerson of
Oakman Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Moyer have returned to their home in
Lorain after spending the Thanksgiving week-end as the guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Helper of Atkinson Ave. They were
joined here by their son, Ensign Aaron Moyer, who w a s on leave.
Ellis Fisher of Lakewood Ave. is spending a week in New
York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Loewenberg of Virginia Pk. have left for
Miami Beach where they will spend the winter.

at a birthday tea Nov. 21, honoring the joint birthdays of her daugh-
ter, Mrs. Harry Krause, who is visiting with her from Columbia, S.
C., and Marian E. Katelman of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Dr. William Haber, professor of economics at the University o
Michigan, now with the Manpower Commission in Washington, wa
the guest last week of Dr. and Mrs. Shmarya Kleinman.
Complimenting their daughter, Beebe, and her fiance, Pfc. Leon-
ard W. Moss, Mr. and Mrs. William Gottesman of Oakman Ct., en-
tertained at dinner Nov. 21 for the immediate family. A reception
and buffet supper was given on Thanksgiving Day at their home.
The bride-elect attended Hillsdale College and Wayne University,
and her fiance attended. Wayne University before enlisting in the
Army Air Force. Pfc. Moss was . home on a 14-day furlough.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Winsen of 2992 W. Grand Ave. were at home
on Nov. 14 in honor of their son, Daniel, who left the following Mon-
day for Fort Sheridan. Their other son, Wendall, Daniel's twin broth-
er, is now stationed at Loury Field, Denver, Colo.
. Mr. and Mrs. M. Weinstein of Pennington Drive attended the
commissioning exercises of their son, Lt. Marvin Weinstein, at
Camp Lee, Va., on Nov. 12. After the exercises, Lt.' Weinstein
accompanied his parents home on a 10-day leave and then returned
to Camp Lee.
Mrs. Joseph Goldfarb of Monterey Ave: has left for Miami.
Beach, Fla., to spend the winter months.
Mrs. Robert Biegel and daughter, Charlotte, left for Arizona
for the winter months, and will return in April.
