Aid to refugees in

is extended by Joint
Distribution Com-
mittee. This agency
must provide for
the transportation
of thousands of
refugee children
and adult's from
Europe to havens of freedom, furnish help to
refugees in Spain, Sir' itzerland and Portugal;
help those liberated by American occupation
of North. Africa, assist refugees in Soviet Rus-
sia, and provide for integration .of thousands
of emigres in Latin America.

Large-scale settle-
ment of refugees in
Palestine and re-
construction of the
Jewish homeland
are supported
through United
alestine Appeal.
Funds are required
for promotion of
Palestine's war ef-
fort,• continuation
of immigration and settlement program to
provide homes for large numbers of refugees,
including thousands of children from war-torn
Europe, and for i9du,strial and agricultural
