made her mark as a musician
and who appeared as soloist
with the Detroit Symphony Or-
chestra when she was 8 years
old. Hadassah is an active leader
in Zionist - youth circles here.
Pvt. Yanich's father, Harry
Yanich, was among the first vol-
unteers from Detroit in the Jew-
ish Legion which fought in Pales-
tine during World War I. He
is a member of Jewish Workers'
Alliance Branch '79.
Mrs. Yanich is a member of
Pioneer Women's Organization.
Her Yiddish poetry was publish-
ed in the Day. She is a sister of
Nathan Morris, director of edu-
cation in London, England. -
