State.
As president of the Jewish Na-
tional Fund Council of Flint, he
was recently instrumental in es-
tablishing a Flint Nachlah proj-
ect for the redemption of land
in Palestine. He was one of the
founders of an officer in the
Michigan Synagogue Conference.
He was a director of the War
Chest of Flint, was active in the
Jewish War Veterans' organiza-
tion, was a chief air raid warden
and was known for his activity
in civic affairs. He was also ac-
tively associated with the Bnai
Brith and the American Jewish
Congress.
A graduate of the Hebrew
Theological College of Chicago,
Rabbi Fineberg also studied in
Palestine at the Universal The-
ological Seminary and the He-
brew University. He held a pul-
pit in Evansville, Ind., before go-
ing to Flint in 1932.
Yeshivah to Open
New Term Aug. 30

nounces that the fall term of
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah begins
Monday, Aug. 30, at 9:30 A. M.,
for all 12 grades of this school.
Enrollments for beginners and
advanced students will be accep-
ted during the first September
week at the school office.
Negotiations are under way to
open branch preparatory classes
in three sections of the city due
to increasing difficulties of trans-
portation for students living a
distance from the Yeshivah
building.
