the new comedy, "From Pillar
to Post," by Rose Simon Kohn,

the next two or three weeks.
Antoinette Perry has been en-

of several radio broadcasts pre-
sented over a number of years
on behalf of the annual Allied
Jewish Campaign. Many of her
playlets have been presented to
mark local community events. At
present she serves on the na-
tional volunteer public relations
staff of the Office of Civilian
Defense.

Detroit Whips up
Willie Howard Play
For New York Stage
Detroit had the first chance to
see the great comedian, Willie
Howard, in his new show, "My
Dear Public." This performance
remains here through this week.
New York is awaiting with in-
terest the presentation of this
musical comedy which is being
referred to as "a revusical story"
by its producer, • Irving Caesar.
The New York showing will
start Sept. 9 at the 46th St.
Theater.
Detroit is really whipping the
show into shape for New York.
A lot of new songs and quips are
being tried out on the local au-
diences. The show has been a
sell-out until now, and the re-
ception given it has pleased Cae-
sar and his co-producer, Chuno
Gottesfeld, both of whom are
