Mayor Greets Prof. Mikhoels, Lt. Col. Feffer;
Russian Delegation to Speak Here Sunday
As a preliminary introduction to Detroit, the two
Russian envoys now visiting this country, Prof. Solo-
mon Mikhoels and Lt. Col. Itzik Feffer, were welcomed
at the City Hall by Mayor Edward J. Jeffries last Sat-
urday.
In the photograph, seated, (left to right) are:
Mayor Jeffries, Prof. Mikhoels, Lt. Col. Feffer and
Fred M. Butzel, chairman of the reception committee.
Standing, (left to right) are: Morris Shatzen,
Aaron Rosenberg, head of the Detroit Folks Commit-
tee for Russian Relief and executive secretary of the
reception committee; Rabbi Leon Fram, Isadore Starr,
president of Pisgah Lodge of Bnai Brith, and Ben Zion
Goldberg of New York, one of the editors of the Jew-
ish Daily Day.
Prof. Mikhoels and Lt. Col. Feffer will address the
public rally in Masonic Temple at 7 p. m. Sunday.
