You are asked to give one pint of your blood for a dying
fighter.

The need is desperate. Each blood transfusion may save
a life. The Greater Detroit Area's quota set by the Surgeons
General of the Army and Navy is five thousand pints of
blood per week.

Death does not wait. When fighting men are shot down
—or if women and children are blasted by air raids—it is
then too late for you to save them. NOW is the time to make
your blood donation.

Please do not delay. Pick up your telephone. Call the
Red Cross Blood Donor Service at CHerry 1200 and you will
be given an appointment that suits your convenience—day
or evening. PLEASE TELEPHONE NOW. CHerry 1200.

DEATH DOES NOT WAIT. By acting now you can
save the life of a dying soldier, sailor or marine.

Four million pints of blood MUST BE HAD to save the
lives of dying men. But ONE PINT is all you are now asked
to give. You'll be proud to have done it It means life or
death to some boy in uniform. Results are instantaneous.
Men are literally brought back from the edge of the grave.
All this—for one pint of blood, painlessly given.

Won't you act promptly? Won't you act NOW? Every-
thing is all arranged. If you are in good health and between
21 and 60 years old, just call the RED CROSS BLOOD
DONOR SERVICE at CHerry 1200 and tell us when you can
come—daytime or evening. Your appointment will be made
to suit your convenience.
