the most. liberal contributors, he
has been in position to raise the
standard of giving of others with-
out fear of apprehension.
"Tops" With Employees
Since a man's relationship
with his own employees is often
the test of his standing in the
community, it is well to note
that Maury -Aronsson is "tops"
with his staff. There is not a man
or woman in his business organi-
zation—the Aronsson Printing
Co.—who does not feel admira-
tion and affection for - "the boss."
Mrs. Aronsson is the former
Dora Abramsohn. They have
three children, Margie Louise,
Lois Selma and Herbert Allen.
Their home is at 2254 Chicago
Blvd.
The entire community takes
note of Maurice Aronsson's 50th
birthday today, with the wish
that he be granted a long life
to continue to render uninterrup-
ted service to his fellow men.
MAURICE ARONSSON
On Dec. 11, 1892, a son was born to Mr. and Mrs.
Selim Aronsson at. Halmstad, Sweden, and he was given
the Biblical name of Moshe, which since has been trans-
lated for popular use into Maurice. Today, this Swedish-
born boy, who has made a mark for himself in the busi-
ness and philanthropic world, celebrated his 50th birth

Question Marks
Is Zionist-hating, big utility
lawyer Joseph M. Proskauer
scheduled to be the next presi-
dent of the American Jewish
Committee? ... Is it an accident
or policy that the Associated'
Press, in contradistinction to the
United Press, for example, has
no Jews on its foreign staff and
so microscopically few on __its
home staff? Does the A.P. con-
sider itself exempt from Execu-.
tive Order 8802, establishing the
President's Committee on Fair
Employment Practice?
Queer
Some people get tied up with
the funniest things. Now take
Rabbi Sidney E. Goldstein of New
York's Free Synagogue, who, be-
fore Pearl Harbor, was preaching
on the same platform with the
American Firsters that it was
wrong to go to war to fight
Hitler. Now he pops up as a wit-
ness in the trial of "Wine, Women
and Song," the Margie Hart strip-
tease show which was ruled an
indecent performance by a jury
after testimony by Rabbi Gold-
stein and several others. Said
Rabbi Goldstein with .horror in
his soul that he found the show
"very silly, very stupid and very
disgusting." What did the vir-
tuous rabbi expect to find when
he bought his ticket: a perform-
ance of "Uncle Tom's -Cabin?"
Keep Your Eye on the Ball
"We have a heritage of which
we are very proud ... We firm-
ly believe that' where a people
have chosen to mix with another
race, inferior in essential poten-
tialities, the conglomerate mass
does not rise to a greater status,
but, on the contrary, always sinks
into impotence. We hold that,
blood counts, and that the basic
mental abilities and character of
a people come from the plastic
hand of Almighty God."
Guess who said that? Fantastic
Nazi philosopher Rosenberg or
der fuehrer himself? No, Sena-
tor Doxey, of . Mississippi, in-" the
very halls of Congress.
