that village, but all the Czechoslovak victims of

Postal authorities here have been asked to ascer-
tain what persons or groups are sending anonymous
mimeographed postcards quoting Mahatma Ghandi,
India's leader, as declaring that "Palestine belongs to
the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to
the English, and it is wrong and inhuman to impose
Jews on the Arabs. The postcard, carrying no return
address and no signature or any other sign which
might indicate the identity of its sender, has been
received during the last few days by editors, or-
ganizations and leading personalities. It carries a
postal stamp showing that it was mailed in New York.
It asserts that the quotation is taken from the Feb-
ruary, 1939, issue of Asia magazine. Actually it is
taken out of context from an article on the Jewish
question by Ghandi in the March, 1939, issue of the
"Jewish Frontier."
