WHO CARES

for somebody else's

children?

WE DO

and you may help us!

All of us are eager to see children brought up in
their own homes by their own parents. Unfortu-
nately, however, that is not possible for all chil-
dren. There are homes broken by death, by ill-
ness, by separation and by divorce, and children
must be taken care of. We as a community have
accepted this obligation and the Jewish Children's
Bureau is the agency to whom we have entrusted
the responsibility to see to it that these children
who need care because their own parents, for
some reason or another, cannot furnish it, are
provided with that care. Fortunately there are
Jewish families in the community who consider
it a privilege to take such children into their
homes and to care for them under the guidance of
the Jewish Children's Bureau. The community
has provided funds so that these families can be
reimbursed for the services that they render to
the children.

.

There are infants and school-age children, boys
and girls, who from time to time need a home.
We need help in finding individual homes for
these children. You may be interested in provid-
ing a home for one of these children. We are not
looking for free homes . or for families who are
interested in adopting a child. Public and private
resources provide the, Jewish Children's Bureau
with money to pay for boarding home care rang-
ing from $7.00 a week for children between two
and seventeen years ald to $10.00 a week for
children under two. The agency also provides the
money for medical and dental care, clothing and
other items required by the child.
