Started by Fresh Air Camp

Season's Blaine Lake Schedule is Announced; Boys
and Girls, 7 to 16, are Eligible;

Program is Varied

In order to facilitate the regis-
tering of boys and girls for the
1942 season at Fresh Air Camp,
appointments may be made by
the parents of prospective camp-
ers. for registration for any hour
between 9 a. m. and 5 p. m.,
Mondays through Thursday, by
calling Madison 8400.
Fresh Air Camp, located on
wooded Blaine L a k e, near
Brighton, Mich., has proved a
popular camping spot for Jew-
ish boys and girls for many
years. This year the season's
schedule will be divided into five
two week periods as follows:
Period I, June 29 to July 12;
Period II, July 13 to July 26;
Period III, July 27 to August 9;
Period IV, August 10 to August
23; Period V, August 24 to Au-
gust 30. Three periods at camp
is the maximum allowed each
child.

Michigan Alumni Chapter of
Mu Sigma Pi Fraternity will be
host to the national conclave of
the organization when it holds
its next annual convention on
May 29 to 31 in Detroit at the
Book-Cadillac Hotel. Elaborate
plans are being formed for a re-
union of the alumni as this oc-
casion will mark the 10th anni-
versary of the chartering of the
fraternity at Northern Illinois
Cooliege of Optometry in Chi-
cago. The fraternity now counts
hundreds of members, many of
whom are serving in the armed
forces of our country.

After registration, Memorial
Day services will be observed at
Temple Israel and Congregation
Shaarey Zedek. Saturday after-
noon the following officers of the
Michigan Alumni Chapter will be
installed: Dr. Lawrence Yaffa.

L e s n i c k, vice-chancellor; Dr.
Martin Rosensweet. scribe; Dr.
Bernard Maness, re-elected ex-
chequer; Dr. Morton Benyas, re-
elected chaplain.
This will be followed by a spe-
cial feature, the induction of the
following optometrists who were
recently elected into associate
membership of the fraternity:
Drs. Albert Prussin, Louis Gold-
berg and Ernest Gaynes of De-
troit, and Dr. Samuel Hurwitz of
Flint.

2 and 4 p. m. on visiting days
only. To reach Fresh Air Camp
drive out Grand River Avenue
