MRS. ARCHIBALD SILVERMAN

Congress leader, will be guest speak-

er at the Masonic Temple Monday,
April 20, at 2 p. m.. instead of the
regular meeting day, due to change
necessitated by the Passover holi-
days.
On a recent visit to South Ameri-
ca in the interests of the American
Jewish Congress, Mrs. Silverman
visited Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Bo-
Argentine, Peru. Ecuador,
livia,
Trinidad and the Dominican Re-
public.
Mrs. Silverman will draw on her
wealth of experience and travel for
her talk to the women of Detroit.
This meeting is open to the pub-
lic and members are invited to

chairman, and Mrs. Samuel Singer,

charge of arrangements for the day.

Observe Sedorim
At Shelter House

The Sedorim were observed at
the House of Shelter on Taylor
Ave.
1 Officers of the House of Shelter
also arranged for the observance of
Passover at the House of Correc-
tion, where a dinner was served
for the Jewish inmates.
Food also was provided for pa-
tients in local hospitals, the Ladies'
Auxiliary being in charge.
Passover meals were served to the
prisoners of Jackson State Prison.
Mrs. Hyman Altman, president,
announces that a meeting of the
Ladies' Auxiliary of the House of
Shelter will be held Wednesday,
April 15.
