Chicago Orchestra Set
for Masonic Temple

The Chicago Symphony Or-
chestra, Rafael Kubelik, con-
ductor, will come to the Masonic
Temple at 8:20 p.m., Monday,

For many years, both Pisgah

Bnai Brith Men's Lodge in the
state, and Pisgah Chapter, which
enjoys a similar position among
the women of Bnai Brith, have
sponsored annual Brotherhood
meetings,
This year the lodge and the
chapter decided to unite in hold-
ing this meeting The following
speakers will appear to represent
different faiths and groups:
Dr. Walton E. Cole of the First
Congregational Church, Rev. Rob-
ert Bradby of the Greater King
Solomon Baptist Church, and
Rabbi Moses Lehrman of Con-
gregation Bnai Moshe.
An additional feature of the
progra mwill be a musical skit
by the Catholic Theatre of De-
troit.
The meeting is scheduled for
Monday evening in the social hall
of Bnai Moshe.

JWF's Mercantile Division
to Hold 'Review, Preview'

"Review and Preview" will
feature the meeting of the mer-
cantile division of the Detroit
Service Group to be held at 8:30
p.m., Thursday, March 1, at the
Davison Center.
Max Osnos is honorary chair-
man of the division.
Completing arrangements for
the meeting are vice-chairmen

serve as chairman of the division
in the campaign.

Folk Schools PTA
Plans Fund Affair

The Parent-Teachers Associa-
tion of the tlnited Jewish Folk
Schools is arranging an evening
of entertainment and bingo games
on Sunday, at the Labor Zionist
Institute.
The proceeds of the affair will
go towards a fund to provide
school equipment.
Registration of new pupils still
continues for the new semester
at all four schools.
There are some vacancies in the
kindergartens and interested par-
ents may contact school offices

cribed Jewish masterpieces at
12:30 p.m., Tuesday at Young
Israel.
Shlomo Sperka will narrate
the music. The guest speaker of
the afternoon will be Rabbi
Max J. Wohlgelernter who has
had an interest in the Sabbath
League since its inception.
There will be group singing of
Jewish songs to be led by Mrs.
Esther Cohen and Mrs. M. Win-
ston.
The meeting will be preceded
by a luncheon.

-series on "Psychiatry and Relig-

of many books, will speak on the
subject, "Psychiatry and Relig-
ion—a Working Partnership."

NCJW to Hold
All-Day Parley

The regular monthly meeting
of the Detroit Section National
Council of Jewish Women, will
take the form of an all-day in-
stitute opening at 10 a.m., Mon-
day, March 5 at the Jewish
Community Center.
Emphasizing its broad two-
point program of community
welfare and education, council's
world affairs day will be jointly
sponsored /by its committees on
contemporary Jewish affairs, in-
ternational relations, mental hy-
giene, and social legislation.
A complimentary luncheon
will be served at noon to paid-
up members whose ticket of ad-
mission will be a bundle of
clothing or household articles
for Council's Resale Shops.

Dr. B. Benedict Glazer, spiritual
leader of Temple Beth El, will be
the initial guest speaker in a
series of lectures sponsored by
her group, in cooperation with
the Culture Commission of the
Jewish Community Council.
This series of talks on Jewish
topics is designed to stimulate
an interest in the various phases
of the cultural heritage of the
Jewish people.
The opening lecture by Dr.
Glazer will be held in the audi-
torium of the Davison Center at
1 p.m. Monday, March 5.
The subject of Dr. Glazer's talk
will be "Basic Jewish Concepts
for Today's Living."

have been added to the audio-
visual library of the Jewish Com-
munity Council.
The film, "Of Human Rights,"
dramatizes an incident involving
racial prejudice among children.
The strips are "Democracy Is

and "There Shall Be Peace."
