Closing the second annual In-

ish Welfare Federation member
agencies will hold a summary
meeting and social at 8 p.m.,
Monday at the Jewish Commu-
nity Center.
Harold Silver, executiye direc-
tor of the Jewish Social Service
Bureau, who was chairman of
the Institute, will summarize the
four preceding sessions—devoted
to various phases of Jewish com-
munal service.
The program will include the
reading of a Sholem Aleichem
story by Sam Neuschatz, square
dancing with Sam Marcus as
caller, and community singing to
be led by Joseph Soffin.

British Pianist Solomon
to Make Detroit Debut

Solomon, called by Time Mag-
azine "one of the world's great
pianists," will make his debut
in Detroit when he appears on
the Teicher Concert Series at the
Institute of Arts Feb. 23.
Born in London, Solomon is
making his second concert tour in
this country. His program will
include Beethoven's Sonata Opus
111, Schumann's Kinderscenen
and works by Haydn, Debussy
and Liszt.

Blintzes recipe. It is very simple to make and a treat for the eve-
ning meal.
BLINTZES
Wrappers:
2 eggs
',/2 cup flour
6 oz. water
Beat eggs well, add all flour at once. Beat smooth, slowly add
water. Heat small skillet and grease lightly. Pour in enough batter
to make very thin sheet, tipping pan to cover bottom. Fry until
edges curl or brown, turn out on tea towel.
Filling:
1 lb. farmer or cottage cheese
1 egg
sugar or cinnamon to taste
Put cheese through sieve, add egg, sugar and cinnamon. Place
tablespoon of cheese mixture in center of each wrapper, fold into
envelopes so that cheese will not escape and fry golden brown on
both sides.
