By EDITH GOODMAN
We are sorry that the .11anukkah recipe for potato latkcs was
mailed to us- so late. I feel sure that you will enjoy them, however,
with your meals during the winter. Mrs. Bertha Mintz of Northlawn
avenue is noted for her wonderful latkes—whenever she visits our
home, her job is to make them. Why not try them for this evening's
dinner? They are delicious with sour cream, apple sauce or jelly.
POTATO LATKES
6 medium sized potatoes
3 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons Hour
about 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs
1 teaspoon of salt
pinch of pepper
1 small onion
Grate potatoes on fine side of grater. Grate onion. Add all in-
gredients to potatoes and mix well.
Add fat to frying pan and heat. Then add a drop of the mixture k!:--
to pan to make sure the oil is hot enough. Drop tablespoon of mix-
ture into hot fat and turn to brown on both sides.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Silver of
Tuxedo avenue have left for a six
week tour of New Orleans, Ariz-
ona, Mexico and California, where
they will visit their family and
friends.

Collingwood avenue were hosts
for a week to their brother Herb-
ert May of Silver Springs, Md.,
his wife, Lois, and son, Rusty.
