Vistadrut Week'
Hospital Drive
Gets $100,000
Close to $100,000 in pledges
was reported Wednesday at the
first report luncheon of the spe-
cial campaign being conducted
by the Jewish Hospital division
of the Greater Detroit Hospital
Fund.
Melville S. Welt, chairman,
told workers that some slips arc
still unassigned and urged them
to arrange for assignments.
The drive is being held to help
make a success of the Greater
Detroit Hospital Fund in which
the Jewish Hospital Association
is a partner. Providing the Fund's
goal is reached, the Jewish Hos-
pital will receive from it $2,500,-
000 in allocation.
Bnai Moshe Plans
Chagall Exhibit
Twenty-six reproductions of
paintings by Marc Chagall, one
of the foremost modern painters,
will be on exhibit in the Bnai
Moshe Social Hall on Sunday
morning and Tuesday evening.
The recollections of old Jewish
life which Chagall experienced
in his youth in Russia are reflect-
ed in his work. The strong in-
fluence of Cubism developed an
individual, characteristic style.
Included in his exhibit is the
book, Marc Chagall, by James
Johnston Sweeney.
The above exhibit is one of a
series brought to Detroit by the
Bnai Moshe Religious School and
its Adult School.
