The 1951 Israel Histadrut Cam-
paign in Detroit will be formally
launched at a rally on Thursday
evening, Nov. 30, at the North-
west Hebrew Congregation, Mor-
ris Lieberman, chairman of the
campaign, announced.
Plans and projected quotas for
the campaign were discussed at a
bruncheon reception held to wel-
come Chaim Gottlieb and Harold
Kempner who will direct the
campaign.
Chaim Gottlieb, who recently
arrived from Israel, outlined the
manifold tasks facing Histadrut
in Israel in rehabilitating the
multitude of new immigrants and
absorbing them into the produc-
tive life of the country.
He called upon the friends and
supporters of Labor Israel in De-
troit to close ranks behind the
standard of Histadrut so that the
constructive program they have
undertaken may advance toward
its completion in this decisive
period of Israel's existence.
