In a candlelight ceremony June
18 at the Northwest Hebrew
I Congregation, Irene Faye Assick,l
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben-1
jamin Assick of Sturtevant ave-
nue, was joined in marriage with
Dr. Milton Blavin, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Barney Blavin of
Cherrlylawn avenue.
Mrs. Gertrude Brodsky, the
bride's sister, was matron-of-
honor. The bridesmaids were
Harriet Blavin, Dorothy Essick
and Florence Grossman.
Sanford Blavin, the groom's
brother, served as best man. The
ushers were Sol Smith, Sam Es-
sick, the bride's brother, and
Abraham Brodsky.
After Aug. 15, the couple will
reside at 275 Merton road.

Edythe Lois Pinkis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Pinkis
of Tyler avenue, was wed to Norman Stewart Lovell, son of Dr.
and Mrs. David Lovell of Beverly Hills, Cal., June 18 at Turover
Temple.
The bride wore an ice-blue satin gown with jacket of chantilly
lace beaded with pearls. Her veil was of silk ice-blue illusion
appliqued with the design of the jacket. She carried white orchids
And streamers of stephanotis on a Bible.
The bride's sister, Glorya PinkiS, was maid-of-hono•. The
bridesmaids were Joan Lovell, sister of the groom, and Carol Rona
Cohn, cousin of the bride..
The best man was Herb Silimn. Ushers were Seymour
Fenster, and Conrad Pearl. Joan Lawson was the flower girl and
Alan Paul was ring bearer.
After a honeymoon in the west, the couple will reside in
Chicago.
