mittee of the Metropolitan De-
troit Region of the Michigan
Commission on Americanism.
The Commission, sponsored by
Gov. G. Mennen Williams, has
as its purpose "the encouraging
and support of Americanism pro-
grams, carried on by various
groups in the community; to
awaken an understanding and
appreciation of the basic rights
of an individual and his or her
responsibilities as an American."
