day. Jan. 6, at the Jewish Center.
"Mental Hygiene Problems of
the Maturing Personality" will be
discnSsed by Dr.. David Slight,
who is a teacher as well as prac-
ticing psychiatrist, and following
the discussion, audience partici-
pation will be encouraged.
Mrs. Lewis B. Daniels, presi-
dent of the Section, will greet the
presidents, and Mrs. Louis Zlat-
k in. chairman of the mental hy-
giene committee, will introduce
the 'speaker.

The newly formed Sisterhood
of the Mogen Abraham Syna-
gogue met at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Hyman Beale.
At the election of officers which
took place, the following women
received posts: Mesdames Hyman
Beale, president; Irving Keys, re-

cus, corresponding secretary; and

The year 1949-50 marks the
25th or "Silver Jubilee Year" of
Pioneer Women. It has been pro-
claimed as the Year of Jerusalem.
Ain Karem, a youth and chil-
dren's village which lies west of
Jerusalem will be built to be-
come the home of 600 children
refugees from various parts of
Europe and North Africa.
Pioneer Women funds will also
be utilized for the restoration of
the youth training farm at Tal-
piot, in the east of Jerusalem,
and a central bujlding in the
heart of the city.
Pioneer Women groups remem-
bered the children of Israel on
