and Cantor Samuel Glantz in the
social hall.
The junior congregation will
meet in two groups. Children
six to 12 will hold services at
10:30 a.m., Saturday and Sunday,
in the Rosman Assembly Hall.
Walter Farber, head of the reli-
gious school, will direct the serv-
ices. Teen-agers, 13-17, will con-
duct their own services at 10 a.m.
in the chapel. Max Chomsky will
be in charge.

the Musaf and read the Torah
in addition to sounding the Shofar.
A special junior congregation
for ages seven to 17 will be held
at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Sam Kaner, junior congregation
advisor, will officiate.
Rosh Hashonah services at 6
p.m., Friday, and at 8 a.m., Sat-
urday and Sunday. Rabbi M. J.
Wohlgelernter will speak.

Detroit Zionists will observe
the 100th anniversary of the
birth of Dr. Max Nordau, one of
the founders of modern Zionism,
on Oct. 24 at the Center.
The week of Oct. 14 has been
designated as Nordau Centennial
Week.
Louis Lipsky; world Zionist
leader, will speak. The affair will
be sponsored by the Nordau
Zionist chapter.
Other activities slated for the
Centennial include Sunday and
Hebrew School observances, an
essay contest, and displays of Dr.
Nordau's writings.
Dr. Bernard Weston, Rabbi
Sydney Akselrad and Max Chom-
sks ■ are among those in charge
of the affair.
