Mrs. Betty S. Shekter of Calvert avenue and Sam Shekter an-
nounce the engagement of their daughter Dorothy to Elliott Elkin,
son of Max Elkin of the Colonial Hotel, Mt. Clemens. The bride-
elect is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Her fiance is a
graduate of Michigan State College, where he was affiliated with
Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. The wedding is set for Oct. 19.

a December wedding.

satin period gown having a wide
circular skirt caught up with lace
that ended in a train.
Her matching veil of imported
illusion was double circular in
fingertip length and fell from a
semi-Queen of Scots bonnet. She
carried a Bible with orchids and
stephanotis.
Debbie Charnes was maid of
honor. Marilyn Wolf and Susan
Rosengarde were bridesmaids.
Annette served as her sister's jun-
ior bridesmaid. Sherry Beth
Stecker was flower girl.
Stewart Kepes served as his
brother's best man. Fred Cherney
and Mel Alter were ushers.
Sherwin Kepes was junior usher.
Out-of-town guests included
those from New York, Hamilton,
Ont. and Tarrytown-on-the- Hud-
son.
