Ruth Elconin Married
to Harold Bornstein
Ruth Lois Elconin was united
in marriage with Harold B. Born-
stein, son of Mrs. Fannie Born-
stein of Claremont, Fla., on Au-
gust 16, at the Hotel Statler. The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Abraham V. Elconin of
Sturtevant avenue. Rabbi Harold
Rosenthal officiated at the candle-
light ceremony.
Mrs. Leonard Mason, sister of
the bride, was matron of honor.
Judith Oppenheim was junior
bridesmaid, and Lynne Mason,
niece of the bride, was flower
girl.
Julian Bornstein served his
brother as best man. Ushers were
Leonard Mason, Jerry Bornstein
and David Oppenheim.
Mr. and Mrs. Bornstein left for
an extended tour of the eastern
states, and upon their return will
reside on Sturtevant avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Feen
have returned from a northern
Michigan vacation during which
they visited at Charlevoix, Mack.
Mac Island, Gaylord and Traverse
City.

5 Decades of Bliss
for Abe Voloadskys
Mr. and Mrs. Abe Voloadsky
will celebrate their golden wed-
ding anniversary Sunday with a
ceremony and dinner for their
entire family, visiting relatives
from California and friends.
Mr. Voloadsky is 70 years old
and his wife Eva is 68. They have
lived in Detroit for 42 years,
having come from Zizhin, Russia.
The couple have a daughter,
Martha Vetenson of Los Angeles,
and sons George, Jack and Mau-
rice Victor of Detroit. Mr. and
Mrs. Voloadsky have eight grand-
daughters, two grandsons and
three great grandchildren.
Mr. Voloadsky's brother, Nath-
an Valasky, 82, of Venice Beach,
Calif., and members of his fam-
ily, will attend the celebration.
Mr. and Mrs. Voloadsky are
members of Congregation Adas
Yeshurun, Chesed Shel Emes, and
the Rizhiner society.
Mrs. Voloadsky is a charter
member of the Eastern Ladies'
Society, the Detroit Social Club,
and the Jewish Home for Aged.
