at Chapter 1
Chapter 1, ZOD, will present an
evening of entertainment at 8:30
p.m., Sunday, May 8 at the Cen-
ter. Admission will be the pur-
chase of one or more trees to be
planted in Israel.
Moe Kesner, the "Ambassador
of Jewish Song" and producer of
the "Voice of Israel" program on
WKMH, will highlight the pro-
gram.
"And the Villain Still Pursued
Her," the dramatic group's an-
swer to the "Drunkard" will also
be featured. Directed by Elaine
Mevis, the cast includes Sol Kroll,
Willie Shanfield, Fay Katz, Mor-
ris Cutler, Betty Tannls, Dora
Mandelbaum and Joe Wilner.

Day Camp's
Open House
Country Day Camp, again un-
der the direction of Dr. W. A.
Goldberg, well-known Detroit
columnist and family counsellor,
will hold a pre-season open house
at its new loca,
lion, on its own
farm, on Sun-
day, May 15,
from 10 a.m. to
5 p.m.
The camp, at
1844 1 W. 13 Mile
road, is reached
by driving out
Grand River
past Novi „to
Wixon road Dr. Goldberg
(Mich. No. 218), right one mile,
right again on 13 Mile road to the
camp. Signs will mark the way.
In a glorious country setting of
budding fruit and shade trees,
with permanent dining hall, craft
and play buildings, Country Day
Camp will.have an extensive pro-
gram of crafts, arts,' dramatics,
athletics, nature study, and spe-
cial trips.
The program emphasizes the
inherent abilities of each camper
rather than a high degree of com-
petition,
The camp is close enough to
Detroit for a daily trip in the
camp's buses. The campers will
be picked up near the homes
five days weekly and returned
home each evening. Country
Day will serve a hot, well,bal-
anced noon meal and an after-
noon snack.
Its activities are planned to
serve boys and girls five through
13.

women's social organization, will
be held Tuesday, May 10, at the

ick, president; Sylvia Saferstein,
vice-president; Nettie Zimberg,

Installation ceremonies were
held Monday at the Bowery.
