vacation.

Lillian Takser of La Salle
boulevard flew to New York City
over the holidays to visit rela-
tives.

Mrs. Samuel Wohl of Calvert
avenue has returned from Tuc-
son where she spent the winter
months.

Mr. and Mrs. Theodore 11. Ole-

daughter Carol have returned
from New York City where they
spent the Passover holidays.

On Sunday, April 10, the mar-
riage of Helen Frances :Bloch to
Richard Jerome Bayles was
solemnized by Rabbi Jacob E.
Segal. The bride is the daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Abraham Bloch
of Prairie avenue. The groom is
the son of Dr. and Mrs. Clarence
Bayles of Dexter boulevard.
The bride's gown was of heavy
ivory satin with a beaded em-
broidered neckline, leg of mutton
sleeves coming to a point over
the wrist, a bustle and two-yard
train. The fingertip veil was held
in place by a beaded crown on
ivory satin. She carried a cas-
cade arrangement of white
camelias with a white orchid cor-
sage.
Harvey Tannenbaum was best
man and Irving Cosmer of Chi-
cago served as usher.
Following a honeymoon in
Washington, D. C., the couple will
reside at 3036 Tyler avenue.

On a short trip to Gary, Ind.,
is Mrs. Charles Abramson of
Outer drive west.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Michelma ■
of Outer drive west attended the
golden wt'dding anniversary of
Mrs. Michelman's brother and
sister-in-law in New York City.
After an extended visit, they flew
to Uniontown, Penn., for a week's
stay before returning home.

Junior Hadassek will celebrate
Israel's birthday with a semi-
formal ball at the Detroit-Leland
hotel Saturday evening, May 14.
The dance will be a combined
celebration and fund-r a is ing
event. Judy Pregerson, chair-
man of the fund-raising committe,
disclosed.
Proceeds from the ticket
sales and the donor ad book
of the dahce will be given to
"Meier Shfeyah," the ;children's
village in Israel supported by all
Junior Hadassah chapters in the
United States since 1925. This
year the quota for the Detroit
chapter is $2,250.00.

World," the last play of the year
to be presented by the Wayne
University Theater, will be staged
May 6-7 at the Art Institute. In-

The Kepes Family Nub wig
told an election May 5 at the
home of Melvin Kepes, 2483 Ty-
ler avenue. The club was found-
ed last year as memorial to Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Kepes.
Members are Charles, Louis,
Joe, Arthur, Henry and Melvin
Kepes and their families. Louis
is president; Arthur, vice-presi-
dent; Henry, treasurer; and Inez
Kepes, secretary.
