The bride's gown was a Jay Thorpe original of white illu-
sion, fashioned with cream-puff sleeves and a fitted bodice of
white satin scalloped in pearls.
A panel of the pearl-bordered satin extended to the hemline

headdress was also edged in pearls and held an illusion veil.
She carried white orchids and Rubrum lillies on the Bible
which her husband carried during the battle of Iwo Jima.
