H AVE
YOU ever noticed the
number of male names ap-
propriated by the ferns? There's
many a time your snoop re-
porter has become confused
when pairing off couples, both
with male names.
Recently in N. Y., an actress
named Hy Hazell appeared in a
musical comedy. Imagine a fe-
male calling herself, "Hy!"
And have you ever stopped
to examine the number of ways
you can spell a given name?
Take Dorothy . . . which can
be spelled Dorothie, Dorothea,
Dorothye, etc. . . . and then the
reader bawls out the reporter
for not spelling the name right
. Who wins ? ? ?
