"We have never raised funds in

"The Red Mogen Dovid is the

taken care of all the blood plasma

and the Israeli army medical
service and we have now been
entrusted. by the Israel supply'
mission with the full responsibil-
ity of making available 400 ad-
ditional ambulances to cover the

I think Israel should give up
Jerusalem once peace comes to
Palestine.
By retaining Jerusalem against
UN opposition,
Israel would
be stirring up
unnecessary
trouble, which
is something it
can not afford.
Israel is a new
nation, and, as
such, should
attempt to
make friends
with other
countries. These other nations
would not trust Israel if it disre-
garded the UN in the case of
Jerusalem.
The UN has decided to make
Jerusalem an international city,
and Israel should respect that de-
cision. Jews will still be able to
visit their religious shrines there.
Spurs Odessa Der9r'
A census of Israeli population
was completed on Sunday when
all residents of Israel were ord-
ered by the government to re-
main in their homes from five
p.m. until midnight to facilitate
the taking of the census.
NO TRUST IN ARABS
All rumors that the Jerusalem
area would be demilitarized were
described as "idle talk" by Dr.
Bernard Joseph, Israeli military
governor of the city. Because of
past experiences with Arabs, he
could have no confidence in their
promises, Dr. Joseph said.
The return of Arab refugees to
Israel before pea6e is established
between Jews and Arabs is out
of the question, declared Presi-
dent Chaim Weizmann in Haifa
at a luncheon tendered him by
the City Council, in which Arabs
as well as Jews were represent-
ed.
Dr. Weizmann again declared
that Israel would not give up the
Negev, since that desert area "is
absolutely essential to the devel-
opment of the'Jewish State,
"No force on earth can remove
the Jews from the Negev, short
of carrying them bodily — and
they are a heavy burden."
