Takes New York Bride

Dr. and Mrs. Alwyn Vernon
Freeman are honeymooning in
Arizona and California, follow-
ing their marriage Sunday at the
Waldorf-Astoria in New York
City.
The bride is the former Gren-
na Sloan, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph L. Sloan of New
York and Beverly Hills, Calif.
Dr. Freeman is' the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Alexander Freeman of
Chicago boulevard.
For her wedding, the bride
chose a Hattie Carnegie gown
of mauve taffeta with a match-
ing, beveiled calot.
.The bridegroom's sister, Mrs.
Royal Allan Oppenheim, was ma-
tron of honor. Alexander Free-
man was his son's best man.
The bride was educated at the
Robert Louis Stevenson School
for Girls in New York, Barnard
College and the University of
California. She is also a graduate
of 'the Ian Alexander Dramatic
School and the Liebline Studio
for Voice in New York.
Dr. Freeman has degrees from
the University of Michigan, Har-
vard Law School, the University
of Geneva and the Universitaire
de Hautes International in Ge-
neva.
