troit groups at a state depart-
ment meeting Thursday at Be-
retnitzer Hall.
Recipients were the Charles
and Aaron Kogan, Yetz-Cohen,
Detroit No. 135, Lawrence Jones,
Lt. Eli Levin, Sgt. Morton Sil-
verman, Gen. Maurice Rose and
Pfc. Joseph L. Bale auxiliaries.
The awards hail the groups'
''valuable contribution to the
defense and upbuilding of the
Jewish State by helping to equip
a hospital at Camp Tel-Letwin-
sky, Israel.
The Levin auxiliary received
another award for its "outstand-
ing services" in the canned milk
drive to aid DP's, and the state
department was honored for es-
tablishing three new units last
year.

Post will sponsor a special social
affair, Monday in the home of
Mrs. Harry Kogan, 1961 Glad-
stone avenue.
Guest speaker will be Mrs.

iliary president. The public is

to Hear Beckwitt
pr. Morris C. Beckwitt, re-
nowned psychiatrist, will be the
guest speaker at the first gen-
eral meeting of the National
Council of Jewish Women, at 1
p.m., Monday at the Jewish Cen-
ter.
"The Importance of Emotional
Education in the Home" will be
the subject of Dr. Beckwitt's
address.
In spite of his comparative
youth, he brings to the audience
an outstanding educational back-
ground, as well as experience
al l chief of the neuro-psychiatric
section of the Harper Hospital
overseas unit during the war,
and as lecturer in psychiatry at
the Wayne University College
of Nursing.
The successful conclusion of
the fall membership drive of the

Rabbi Samuel Prero, execu-
tive director of Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah, will be the speaker at
the annual donor lunched, of
the ladies of the Yeshivah, Wed-
nesday, Nov. 17 at Lachar's. A
film showing the work of the
Beth Jacob School for girls,
founded by the group, will be
presented.
Proceeds will go towards the
purchase of a lot upon which
the future home of Yeshivah
