ings in the news ... Elaine
Salzburg, Ilene Sabin and Iry
Berg will enjoy their vacation
at the national BBYO camp in
Wisconsin . . . Marcia Kleinman,
came back from Atlantic City
just in time to welcome her pal
Meredith "Dithy" Tiegel who
returned from Long Lake, Wis-
nsin . . . Mery Manning will
back from his tour of New
Orleans and all points south,
while Stan Delidow will be back
from Denver . . . Sid Kleinman
and friends will spend the next
week in Charlevoix ... Cal and
Al Lippitt , and Bob Klein are
traveling to South Haven .

SYDELL GOULD received a
wonderful "Sweet Sixteen" gift
in the form of a ticket to Cali-
fornia where she will visit her
brother Kenny . . . Ray Cohen
really acquired a tan in Miami,
Fla. . . . Then we got quite a
kick out of hearing Burt Imber
on a recent Town Meeting of the
Air which came from Michigan
State on the subject, "Should
College Football Players Re-
ceive Subsidies?" Burt would
make a good quiz master, the
way he asks the. questions . . .
Cass Lake really seemed the
ideal spot for an outing for Al
Gaynes, Link and Stan Racey,
Howard Levy and Harry Brand.
Alfred will go to New York and
Washington for a two week stay
before resuming his studies at
the Cranhrook College of Art...

BACK HOME, here's what's
been doing . . . When Betty
Becker arrived home the other
eve she found that her girl
friends, Shirlee Bigelman and
Tobye Fink, had planned a gay
surprise party in honor of her
birthday. Two couples enjoying
the delicious turkey were Joyce
Fox with Shel Kornfield and
Janet Waterstone with Harvey
Rimar . . . Others who found
the dancing loads of fun were

Parents Fnul Pal
of Dead GI Son

A Detroit Jewish boy will
once again meet the parents of
his dead GI buddy following his
location by the Detroit Board of
Commerce. He is William Green-
berg of 2000 Leslie avenue.
He was sought by Mr. and
Mrs. C. 0. Griffith of Green-
field, 0., whose spit Warren was
a pal of Greenberg's. They wrote
to the Board of Commerce and
0. L. Dorworth, one of•its of-
ficials, located Greenberg.
The Griffiths plan to be in De-
troit early in September to visit
With Greenberg.

young men and women, forming
a special "Friendship Mission
of Israeli Youth" to the United
States., arrived from Isr ael to
embark on a special tour in
behalf of the United Jewish .Ap-

Pisgah at a farewell banquet
last week at the Hotel Book
Cadillac. "A Detroit resident
for 41 years, Shatzen has left
to make his home in Cali-
fornia. He was a member of
Shaarey Zedek, where he
sang in the choir, and a
worker in the Allied Jewish
Campaign.
