Hunter Survey
Best Reading
for Detroiters

Despite anything the "best
seller" lists may say, the single
piece of literature most widely
read in Detroit todarbis the Hun-
ter Survey, a 150-page report on
Detroit's health, welfare and rec-
reation services.
The study is furnishing timely
conversational fare for public-
spirited citizens and a provoca-
tive program for the annual
meeting of the Women's Division
of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion.
At the luncheon, to be held
abeirednesday, September 22 at the
AIR nstitute of Arts, Robert Mac-
Rae, executive direttor of the
Council of Social Agencies, will
participate in a discussion with
eight members of the Women's
Division who will describe the
results of the Hunter Survey and
present the challenge it places
before the people of Detroit.
The panel will include Mes-
dames Benjamin Jaffe, Julian H.
Krolik, Charles Lakoff, Sidney H.
Marwil, Alexander W. Sanders,
Raymond Sokolov, Leonard H.
Weiner, Morris Zwerdling and
Miss Pearl Devenow.
The survey faces the questions
most frequently asked about so-
cial services in Metropolitan De-
troit and answers honestly with
facts and figures.
