The Women's League of Tel-

LAKE SUCCESS—Replying to
the Christian Union of Palestine
which protested use of religious
buildings by Jewish forces in Je-
rusalem, an Israeli representa-
tive declared that many of the
institutions had served as British
or Arab military bases before oc
cupation by the Jews.
He pointed out that Jewish
institutions had suffered the ma-
jor damage and that all Syna-
gogues in the Old City had been
destroyed when the Arabs shell-
ed Jerusalem.
The Israeli aide revealed that
the Christian Union is composed
of Arab clergymen exclusively.
