THE TABLET, official weekly paper of the Brook-
'''. lyn diocese, is a rabidly anti-Semitic sheet. Time
and again it has insulted the American Jewish Con-
gress and glorified Charles Coughs
tin's Christian Front.

barrage of invective against a Jew-
ish State of Israel ... and enthu-
siastically indorsed the Mufti's
policy in that country. So—the
National Conference of Christians
and Jews, which is financed largely
by Jewish money, has bestowed
upon The Tablet a special award

A representative of the State
of Israel, seeking industrial

shipped to Israel a truck filled
with machinery donated by De-

Max Gross, of Jerusalem,
technical director of the Israel.
Equipment Project, with the as-
sistance of Morris M. Jacobs,
president of the Michigan Zion-
ist Region, and Saul Gottlieb,
regional director for the ZOA,
rounded up the first such sup-
plies to leave Detroit.
The shipment, which includes
machine tools, printing equip-

Carborundum stones, a Cincin-

chine, besides the truck itself,
a Ford two-ton vehicle, is val-

Gross arrived in Detroit after
obtaining a Michigan shovel
valued at $13,000 in Benton
Harbor, donated by the Jewish
community of that city. .
The Benton Harbor commun-
ity raised $10,000 in 24 hours
for the machine, and the Ross
Carrier Co.' makers of the ma-
chine, contributed the remain-
ing $3,000 necessary for the
title to be turned over to Gross.
