Teen•Age
Sophisticates

By HELEN TENNENBAUM

STIRRING and inspiring sum
up the feelings which were
the result of our mass demon-
stration saluting Eretz Israel.
All of us can
feel mighty
proud and hon-
ored to belong
to the Jewish
people, and we
can feel thank-
ful and happy
that the dreams
of 2,000 years
have been rea-
lized.
Helen
It is true
II ill
iur new Homeland has not
won easily, and it is also
be
true that the fight has not yet
ceased, but we do know that
there is a place in this world
which is ours, ours to fight' for,
curs to cherish and protect, sec-
ond in our hearts to the United
States.
Here is one spot In this vast
world which will open its arms
to homeless Jews everywhere, a
place which will prosper if we
aid the development of its soil
tend culture.
It is wonderful that our
America was the first to recog-
nize Israel, the true Homeland
of weary Jews everywhere. In-
(teed last Saturday is a day
which should stand out forever
in our lives, and a day that will
stand out in world history.
Let us all pray that this time
Eretz Israel may remain a real-
ity and never again be just a
dream as in past ages.
