Blue Ox reigned at the
"most informal" dance of the
year in Ann Arbor when stu-
dents donned blue jeans and
plaid shirts to attend. Twosomes
in a dancing mood were Elaine
Rubach with Al viendlo, Sandy
Perlis and Marilyn Kopel, Jerry
Rubiner and Joan Greenwald.
Elaine Messenger and Corky
Korman.
The S. D. T's "Sleighme"
shindig started 'he social ball
rolling after the vacation lull.
First a sleigh ride, than back
to the sorority house for danc-
ing and eats. Local gals who
participated were Boots Kal-
man, Renee Simmer, Judy Lev-
in, Esther Sklare, Joan Da-
vidoff, Barbara Becker, Rosalie
Mayer, Joane Steinberg and
Phyliss Leib.

PEOPLE
Chic Doris Newmark who's a
member of the Civic Light
Opera Cast, had her photo in
the Detroit Times showing a
few of her dance routines . . .
She's been receiving loads of
phone calls from strange men
asking for dates . . The catch
is that Doris is married and
hubby eyes the phone jealously
every time it rings.
Doris Altman is glad to get
back to our "mild" weather
after fighting the blizzard in
New York . . . Shoeman Norm
Rosenfeld is piloting his Sibley
team in the H. P. basketball
league.

PARTIES
When Elaine Robbins walked
into her home, hubby Norm gave
the signal for the gang to sing
out with "Happy Birthday." Cut-
ting the birthday cake were Art
Schurgin, Phil Schreiber and Lee
Robinson, the Sam Seyburns,
Iry Robinson and Sybil Ebner
and Sammy Israel.
The Master Singers assembled
for just an ordinary meeting at
Morris Shultz' abode, but, it
ended up with a glittering exhi-
bition of Detroit talent who
crashed in. Lending their apti-
tude to the party were Lil Rob-
bins, Florence Kutzen, Shosha-
nah Brooks Freedman, Freddie
Sheyer and Herman Pritz.
