Elvira Frances Keating, daugh-
ter of Marie V. Keating, and
George Edward Pasternak, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Edward I. Pas- ‘
ternak of Chicago, were united
in marriage last Saturday at the
home of the bride's uncle and
aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mor-
rison of Sturtevant avenue.
Following the ceremony, at
which Rabbi Morris Adler
elated, a dinner for guests and
immediate families was held in
the Hotel Book Cadillac.
Given in marriage by her un-
cle Benjamin E. Cowan, the
bride was attended by Fran-
ces Smith of Charleston, W. Va.,
as maid of honor..6 •
Best man was Dr. Seymour
Portman of Chicago and ushers
were Aaron Klapman and Mar-
vin Wein, both of Chicago.
The newlyweds will honey=
moon in the South. They will
reside in Chicago.
Prior to her marriage, Miss
Keating was honored at showers
by Mrs. Edward A. Stern of
Pennington drive, Mrs. Benja-
min Cowan, her aunt, of Col-
lingwood avenue, and Mrs. Jo-
seph Cohen.

Mr. and Mrs. David Seidman

Mr. and Mrs. Julian L. Zemon.

Dorinne Lois Sherman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred E.
Sherman of Warrington drive, was united in marriage Nov. 26 to
Stuart Frederick Velick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Velick of
Nashville avenue.
Rabbi B. Benedict Glazer performed the ceremony at the
Whittier Hotel.
Miss Sherman wore a bridal-white slipper-satin gown with
scalloped neckline and a court-train. Her fingertip veil of illusion
was fastened to a headpiece of orange blossoms.
Her attendants were Suzanne Sherman as maid of honor and
Dorothy Welensky of Toledo and Doris Wertheimer as bridesmaids.
Harry Velick, the groom's brother, was best man and Norman
Rosenfeld and Allen Schmier were ushers.
Larry Sherman, the bride's brother, escorted their grand-
mother down the aisle.
The bride attended Ohio State University.
