Maxine Joslove Feted
at Pre-Nuptial Affairs
To Wed Navy Veteran

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Steiner of Minneapolis announce the en-
gagement of their daughter Arlene to Dr. Leslie Caplan of Detroit,
son of Mrs. Isaac Caplan of Steubenville, 0., and the late Rabbi
Caplan. Miss Steiner is a graduate of the University of Minnesota
and is working for a masters' degree in clinical psychiatry. She
is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Delta Tau. Dr. Caplan,
who is the brother of Dr. and Mrs. Morris H. Marks of Edison
avenue, spent five years in the armed forces and is presently
working on a fellowship in psychiatry at the University of Min-
nesota. The wedding will take place in October.

Announcement is niade of the engagement of Alice Savine,
(laughter of the late Mrs. Sadie Tzevine of Duane avenue, to Ben
Mandelbaum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Mandlebaum of Toledo.
At a garden party in Greenbush Inn, Mr. and Mrs. Harry L.
Dermer announced the engagement of their daughter Peggy to
Harry Miller. The wedding will take place Thanksgiving eve,
Nov. 27 at the Bel-Aire.
Announcement is made of the engagement of Marilyn Nan
Epps, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Epps of Collingwood
avenue, to Marc B. Graham, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Marc B.
Graham of Burlingame avenue.
Mr. and Mts. Lloyd Kaplan of Muirland avenue announce the
betrothal of their daughter Pearl to Harry Bank, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ifyman Bank of Taylor avenue. The wedding will take
place Sept. 7 • t Bnai Moshe.
The engagement of Sophie Horwich to Sol Ceresnie has been
announced by the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Horwich of Yellowstone avenue. A December wedding is planned.
Mr. and Mrs. Kopple Gitlin of Ford avenue announce the en-
gagement of their daughter Adele Elaine to Harold J. Samuels,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Samuels of Linwood avenue. No wed-
ding date has been set.
Announcement is made of the engagement of Edith Horowitz,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Horowitz of Tuxedo avenue, to
Harry R. Lazarus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Lazarus of Quincy
avenue. The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of the Detroit Insti-
tute of Technology, College of Pharmacy, and is a member of AZO
fraternity. The wedding will take place in February, 1948.
