The Philomathic Debating So-
ciety's annual public model meet-
ing will be held at 8:30 p. m. Tues-
day in Shaarey Zedek.
Featured will be a six-man de-
bate on "Will the Truman Doc-
trine Promote World, Peace?"
Contestants are Stanley Brown,
Seymour Raimi, Maynard Gordon,
Norman Wexler, Gerald Brown
and Alfred Himelso.n.
A gold cup will be presented to
members of the winning team. A
gold medal to be awarded to the
best speaker has been donated in
memory of the late Louis Smilan-
sky, a former Philomathic leader.
A silver service medal in honor
of those who served in World War

best speaker and a bronze medal
will go to the third best speaker.
The traditional presentation of
the gavel will be made to Ray-
