Evelyn Rhea Weisberg,
Bride-Elect, Honored

Leonard P. Baruch, vice-presi-
dent of Detroit Masada, was elect-
ed regional president of the Cen-
tral States Region at the recent
national convention in Washing-
ton, D. C.
Baruch was also appointed to
the Masada national executive
committee, marking the first time
a Detroit member has been so
honored.

Evelyn Rhea Weisberg, whose
marriage to George Korman will
take place Sunday, was enter-
tained at the following pre-nuptial
affairs :
A luncheon for 30 guests at the
Women's Club by Mrs. Al Budman
and Mrs. Peter Weisberg. A din-
ner and miscellaneous shower for
115 guests at Rosenberg's by Mrs.
Abraham' Korman.
A luncheon and miscellaneous
shower for 50 guests at the War-
dell-Sheraton Hotel by Mrs. Monte
Weston and Mrs. Martin Weis-
berg; a luncheon at the Club Bali
by Mesdames Ben Baffles, Dan
Grant, Sam Butman, Morey Weis-
berg, William Schultz, Sam Ten-
zer, B. Neiman and Sam Goss.

Mrs. Joseph Modell of the Wil-
shire Hotel is vacationing in Mi-
ami Beach.

Mrs. Bernard Serwer, her son
Alan and her mother, Mrs. M.
Bonin left last week for Miami
Beach. Mr. Serwer will join them
in a few weeks.

friends in Detroit.

Ann Salston of Chicago is visit-
ing her uncle and aunt, Mr. and
Mrs. Edwin M. Rosenthal, Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Shafitind
of Roselawn avenue, held open
house Dec. 25, in honor of their
aunt, Mrs. Kitty Lacome and her
son, Bernard, who are visiting
from London, England.

Mr. and Mrs. David Sideman of
New York will arrive Jan. 3 to be
the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Julian
Zemon.

Mr. and Mrs. Mayer Traub and
Alex Gochin of East London, South
Africa, visited relatives in Detroit
recently.

Dr. and Mrs. J. Gilbert Israel
will leave Sunday for a week's
visit In New York.

Visiting her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Ziv of Wildemere ave-
nue, is Betty Ziv, a student at
Western Michigan College.

Betty Lewis is spending her va-
cation from Connecticut College,
New London, with her parents.

Beth Rosalie Weiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Weiner
of Richton avenue, was united in marriage recently with Albert Mar-
golin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Margolin of Buena Vista avenue. The
ceremony was held in the Italian gardens of the Hotel Book Cadillac.
The bride's attendants were Mrs. Esther Citrin, matron of honor,
and Pearl Schlussel, Alice Silverman of Chicago, Mrs. Fayanne Sado-
vitz, Marjorie Salk and Janet Fish, bridesmaids.
Jay Pudick was best man and ushers were Allan Weiner, Bernard
Weiler, Harry Sadovitz, Morris Rochlin and Harley Citrin. The newly-
weds have returned from a honeymoon in New York.
