Theaters to Hold Young Refugee Gets Set for Chanukah Honor Roll to Aid

Two major events will feature
the activities of the Junior Service
Group in January.
On Jan. 4, the Juniors will pre-
sen• their Jamboree in the Foun-
tain Ballroom of the Masonic

"Truth or Consequences" will be
the refrain when the group holds
its first closed membership meet-
ing Sunday, Jan. 19 at the Jewish
Community Center.
A tea dance and awarding of
door prizes will highlight the meet-
ing. Members are urged to bring
their membership cards since par-
ticipants in the "Truth or Con-
sequences" program will be select-
ed by drawing card numbers.
Any Jewish youth is eligible to
join the Junior Service Group. In-
formation may be secured by cal-
ling Harry A. Heller, executive
secretary of the Junior Service
Group, at TE. 1-1600, or at the
door on the afternoon of the
meeting. Nominal dues for the year
are $1.
Three Detroit theaters will pre-
sent special matinees for school
children Monday for the benefit of
the SOS drive. They are the
Oriole, Krim and Abington.
In addition to the regular pro-
gram, each theater will show car-
toons and special short features.
Admission will be one or more
cans of food.

event will climax the 'major fund-
raising drive of the division.

artist of Chicago, will present "My
Vineyard," a play on the life of
Henrietta Szold.
Dorothea Richmond and Sophie
B. Schwartz are co-chairmen.
