TIME: Sunday afternoon.
PLACE: Dexter at Glynn court.
QUESTION: How do you ob-
serve Chanukah in your home?
R. ROBERT LYNN, 3353 Boston
boulevard, attorney.
I come from an orthodox home
and Chanukah in past years has
been the occasion for much festivi-
ty. I married
recently but
imagine my par-
ents are s till
conducting t h
holiday as be-
fore.
They call the
family together
for the tradi-
tional lighting of
candles and the
serving of lat-
kes. Appropriate songs are sung
by the group and then my parents
give money presents to their chil-
dren and grandchildren.
In the main, Chanukah has been
a time when all members of the
family could be together in happy
Jewish style.

Rabbi Maurice N. Eisendrath, executive director of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, was
one of three speakers who appeared on the forum. "Brotherhood Begins on Our Street," Dec. 11 at
the Jewish Community Center. Left to right, Rabbi Eisendrath, Fr. Michael J. Ahern, S.J., of Weston
College, Mass., and the Rey. Paul Morrison of Trinity Methodist Church, Detroit The discussion was
sponsored jointly by the Men's Club and Sisterhood of Temple Israel and the Detroit Round Table
of Catholics, Jews and Protestants.

Hollywood, Cal., Dec. 20-Ginny
Simms announced today that Don-
ald O'Connor, rising young Uni-
versal Films comedy star, will have
the permanent comedy spot on her
popular radio show.
The reason for her selection of
O'Connor, is attributed to the en-
thusiasm of listeners who have tuned
in to Donald's laugh-provoking guest
appearances on the show. The breezy
O'Connor brand of comedy, his
freshness and sparkle, caught on
with the fans—who evidently can't
get too much of a good thing.
Now that you know the combi-
nation for laughs and melody, tune

and song with Ginny and Donald!
