Succoth Celebration
The annual Succoth's celebra-
tion of the Council of Mothers'
Clubs will take place at 8:30

Jewish Community Center, Wood-

In addition to the musical and
dramatic program, Mrs. Herschel
V. Kreger of the Detroit Chapter
of the National Council of Jew-
ish Women will speak.

Palestine. More than 1,600 com-
munities are conducting Fall cam-
paigns.
Expenditures and appropria-
tions of both the Joint Distribu-
tion Committee and the United
Palestine Appeal at the present
time are at their highest mark
since the advent of the Nazi re-
gime. Increased quotas have been
adopted by all the communities.
The keynote for the postwar
reconstruction effort was sounded
last week in Boston as the com-
munity embarked on a campaign
to raise $3,000,000. Addressing
the Boston Keynote Dinner, Rab-
