Yeshivath Beth Yehudah Adds
More Teachers As Enrollment Rises
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah has
started the new semester with an
augmented faculty, an increased
enrollment and an expanded pro-
g ram of classes .
Dean of the Yeshivah is Rabbi
Simcho Wasserman, son of the
great Gaon, Rabbi Elchanan Was-
serman. Rabbi Wasserman was
trained in the most famous Yesh-
ivah of Lithuania and Poland. In
1939 he founded and became Rosh
Yeshivah of the first and only
Yeshivah in France in recent
times. He established and was
dean of the Mesifta Talmudic An-
nex in Monsey, N. Y.
Dr. Hugo Mandelbaum, princi-
pal of the Day School, received
his doctorate from the University
of Hamburg, Germany, in 1933,
for geography and physics. Ho
was graduated from the Hebrew
Teachers Seminary in Wurtzburg,
Germany. His teaching experi-
ence in Germany, England and
America covers over 25 years.
The Yeshivah and Day School
Hebrew staff consists of:
Rabbi Jacob M. Brown, ordain-
ed at the Hebrew Theological Col-
lege, Chicago, who studied at
Crane College, Chicago, and Em-
ery University, Georgia. He held
rabbinical and educational posi-
tions in Atlanta and Sioux City.
Rabbi H. N. Carlebach attend-
ed Telz and Mir Yeshivas in Eu-
rope. He studied in Germany and
at Wayne University. Formerly
Seminar Rabbiner and member of
faculty of Teachers Seminary in
Wurtzburg and Rabbi of Cham-
bersburg, Pa.
Rabbi Eric Greenbaum, B.A.,
graduate of Jewish College and

for several years in various
schools of the Board of Educa-
tion of New York City.
Miss Sylvia Kroch trained in
Hebrew seminaries in Europe and
at Normal College in Hamilton,
Ontario.
