Dean of the Yeshivah is Rabbi Simcho Wasserman, son of the great Gaon, Rabbi Elchanan Was- serman. Rabbi Wasserman was trained in the most famous Yesh- ivah of Lithuania and Poland. In 1939 he founded and became Rosh Yeshivah of the first and only Yeshivah in France in recent times. He established and was dean of the Mesifta Talmudic An- nex in Monsey, N. Y. Dr. Hugo Mandelbaum, princi- pal of the Day School, received his doctorate from the University of Hamburg, Germany, in 1933, for geography and physics.
