ORT Ships Tools
To French Jews
NEW YORK — The American
ORT Federation has shipped more
than 200 sewing and knitting ma-
chines and several tons of tools
to France for distribution among
needy artisans.
The lack of machines and tools
has been one of the greatest
hardships of Fernch artisans,
since the Germans looted all
workshops.
In order to provide the maxi-
mum number of artisans with
tools and machines, some portion
of each shipment will be used to
outfit cooperatives and central
workshops.

continuing aid to those who would
rather be "stateless" than go
back to their former homes.
These nations feared that fas-
cist elements would take advan-
tage of this aid. There are thou-

fuse to go back to Poland becau'ze
of the anti-Semitic outbursts.
